Setting Up the Interlink Bridge for Deerbrook/Encompass

Bridge Settings, Bridging through the Rater, and Finding Policies in Interlink for Deerbrook and Encompass

 

Configuring Bridge Settings

1) Navigate to the Bridge Settings Web Page.  From the InterLink welcome page:

For Deerbrook

  • Click the [Bridge/Download Setup] link
  • Choose Bridge Setup

For Encompass

  • Click the “Bridge Setup” link from the Bridge Setup menu. At this point, you should see the page below in your browser.

2) Enter in the appropriate information

   1. Enter your agent number in the appropriate field. Deerbrook agents should enter their 6-digit agent number in the Deerbrook agent number field. Encompass agents should enter their Encompass Login ID in the Encompass Login ID field. If you have both an Encompass Login ID and Deerbrook agent number, enter them into both fields.

   2. In the box marked Comparative rater location type in the physical path of the rater, this is not necessarily where the quotes are saved, but the location the program is actually run from. For example if MULTICO is run from your local drive and you save the quotes on the server then C:\MULT4WIN. If you run the program and save quotes on the server then something like F:\MULT4WIN.

   3. Ignore the box marked Additional path for specific networks.

Click the [Submit] button when finished filling out the fields. At this point you may get a Security Alert pop-up dialog box. Click [OK].

3) You are finished with the Interlink Setup.

Having completed this process will allow our website to put a file on the agent’s computer that enables bridging quotes to InterLink. At this point you are finished and you should see a web page telling you that your Bridge settings have been successfully set.

Activate the Bridge in MULTICO for Export

1. Open the MULTICO Utilities program.

2. Select Integration Setup from the Tools Menu.

3. Highlight Deerbrook.

4. Select Active

5. Click OK The bridge file will be IDBKUPLD.BAT. There should never be any reason for a path to be entered before the file name.

If after you have clicked OK you receive an error message "Unable to locate the Deerbrook program" that means the IDBKUPLD.BAT file is not in the correct location.

This file needs to be in the MULTICO program folder.

 

You will now be able to export files from MULTICO to Deerbrook's Interlink site.
