Customer Database and Disk Image Information
If customer databases are scattered on several different drives there is an easy way to merge them.
Moving the Customer Folder
1. Open Multico Utilities select "Customer Database & Disk Image Directories...". This will indicate where the customer database is currently and will allow you to change where you would like to save your files.
For example, if you installed the program locally and have been saving your quotes locally but have decided to share your quotes with other agents in the office, you can change your customer database directory to a directory on the server and move the customer files you had already saved to that network location.
EX. CUSTOMER = F:\MULT4WIN
2. In Multico Utilities under the file menu select "Move/Copy Customer files..." insert from directory and to directory and select “Move” or “Copy.”
EX. From Directory = C:\MULT4WIN\CUSTOMER
EX. To Directory = F:\MULT4WIN\CUSTOMER
This will move/copy customer files and rebuild the customer database.
3. Go to each workstation and follow the bottom section of the "Workstation Setup" document. Then open the Multico Utilities program, select Customer Database Directory and change it from C:\MULT4WIN to the server.
EX. from C:\MULT4WIN to F:\MULT4WIN
