InStar AL3 Integration
Instructions to setup the InStar to MULTICO AL3 two way bridge. InStar 8.1 or greater is needed.
Setting up the bridge in InStar
You need InStar 8.1 or greater for this bridge.
In the InStar program select Setup System then User Setup from under Main Menu
Click on the Lists button and then select the user you would like to setup from the Instar Users list.
Click on the Edit button then the Rating Setup button.
In the User Setup up dialog for Vendor select the MULTICO - AL3 option.
Click/Select Launch Program.
In Vendor Exe: Enter the folder you run MULTICO from. For example if you run MULTICO from your C MULT4WIN folder enter C:\MULT4WIN and then enter the Import.exe file. EX: C:\MULT4WIN\IMPORT.EXE. If you do not know where you run MULTICO from try right clicking over your Nonstandard Auto icon, select properties and read what it says for target. If the target reads F:\MULT4WIN\SUBW.EXE then you are running MULTICO from the F:\MULT4WIN folder so you would enter F:\MULT4WIN\IMPORT.EXE for the Vendor Exe.
For the Rating Parameters section enter %path\%file.
Click Close.
Click Directory.
Enter C:\InstarAL3 in the Default Diretory.
In the MULTICO Utilities program select Integration Setup of from the Tools Menu then highlight and activate the InStar AL3 option. The default for the path will be the drive you are running MULTICO from then InStarAL3. MULTICO will generate this folder the first time you export.
