Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Laird Rixford is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the company. Rixford has a proven executive management track record and has more than 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and insurance technology.
Rixford joined ITC in 2008 as vice president of product development and marketing when ITC acquired his company Evolution Designs and its product Insurance Website Builder. In 2011 he created AgencyBuzz, ITC’s automated agency marketing tool, and was promoted to president in 2014, responsible for the sales and marketing department and overseeing product direction.
An expert in insurance technology and marketing, Rixford is a recognized public speaker and has presented at industry events across the United States. Prior to joining ITC, Rixford provided technology consultation and solutions to banks, mortgage companies, real estate firms and insurance agencies.
Chief Operating Officer, Founder
Scott Upfield is COO and co-founder of ITC. Since 1988, Upfield has grown the company from one product to multiple automation products and services for the insurance industry. He is responsible for managing the production department and development of TurboRater, ITC’s comparative rating software. He monitors other areas of the company, including marketing and sales, for opportunities to improve operations and efficiency.
Prior to starting ITC in 1983, Upfield worked at American Communication Enterprises in Dallas where he was involved in engineering a digital phone switch.
Upfield served on the board of directors for Temtex Industries, Inc. and the Dallas chapter of Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1982.
Chief Financial Officer
Dale Meredith is chief financial officer at ITC. As CFO since 1999, Meredith
manages the accounting, human resources and technical support departments.
Meredith brings more than 15 years of professional experience to ITC, including
three years as accounting manager at Unitrin and eight years as controller at
Bauer Audio Visual. He also served as finance committee chair at Hunters Glen
Baptist Church and treasurer for the band booster club at Plano Senior High School.
In 1987 Meredith earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree in
accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Chief Marketing Officer
ITC’s Chief Marketing Officer Becky Schroeder is responsible for facilitating ITC’s growth through sales and marketing and drives the overall marketing strategy for the company and its products. Her specialties include advertising, social media, email marketing, content marketing and public relations.
Prior to being CMO, Schroeder was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ITC. She has a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Emerson College in Boston and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas A&M University.
Senior Vice President of Carrier Operations
As Senior Vice President of Carrier Operations at ITC, Justin Costa is responsible for establishing and maintaining company relationships with all insurance carriers across the nation. Costa is also responsible for ITC’s carrier rate development team. In addition, he oversees TurboAnalytics, ITC’s market basket data management system.
Costa joined ITC in 2011 as carrier relations manager, where he was an integral part of TurboRater’s national expansion. Costa has career-long experience in agency operations. He began his agent career 28 years ago in Florida and soon moved to Texas where he organically grew, bought and sold multiple agencies.
SVP of Sales and Business Development
Stuart Ganis is the SVP of Sales and Business Development at ITC. He’s responsible for leading the sales team and working strategically with marketing and business development to drive growth at ITC.
A thirty-year veteran in the industry, Ganis started his career as an insurance producer in 1989 right out of high school. He eventually launched a start-up agency based in southern California with his wife Mary that grew to $20 million in premium in 4 years. After the sale of their agency, Stuart launched a boutique consulting firm focused on helping independent agencies grow and thrive organically and through acquisition.
Ganis has consulted more than 700 independent agencies and trained thousands of CEOs, principals, producers and CSRs. He frequently speaks about serving the connected consumer and leveraging technology to refine sales processes that ultimately lead to growth.
